COMPANY HISTORY
Founder -- Mr. William G. McCullough: 1912-2005
Born in North San Juan Ca. In 1912, William G. McCullough moved to Antioch,
California at the age of 8 yrs old. He started in the family business by selling sand in the 1940s. Starting his own company in the 1950s. He incorporated his construction company in 1965. The majority of business was the Sand Pit, located on Wilbur Ave. in Antioch Ca. The company sold Antioch Sand to everyone. The
company trucked sand to the City of San Francisco and shipped large quantities of sand by Rail to Power House #4 on the Feather River Canyon Hydro-Electric Project, which used the Antioch Sand in making grout for lining the water tunnels.
The Company relocated in 1978, moving their office and shop to 18th Street.
Mr. McCullough retired in 1984 and sold the company to his Master Mechanic (Dan Schuette) and Chief Estimator (Dave Coggin). Later in
1988 Dave retired and Dan took over as sole Owner.
In 2004, Dan semi-retired and the company is now operated by his three sons, Todd, Tom and Paul.
William G McCullough Co. specialize in doing all phases of construction work. "We like performing all phases of construction in order to better serve our customers with a ONE STOP SHOP, eliminating the potential conflict of a multi Sub-Contractor/Contract".
